Cheshire Year of Gardens
Back to 'Things to see and do'
Cheshire has some of the finest stately houses and gardens in the country – click on the links below to find about some of our favourites:
- Ness Botanic Gardens The wonderful University of Liverpool botanic gardens at Ness, on the Dee coast of the Wirral. With views across the estuary to the Welsh coast, Ness Gardens are well worth a visit.
- Chester Zoo Gardens - as well as the animal exhibits, Chester Zoo has stunning award-winning gardens, too.
- Mount Pleasant Gardens – this is only 15 minutes from Chester in the lovely village of Kelsall. Mount Pleasant has traditional mixed planting on a hillside site, with tremendous views across the Cheshire Plain. It’s open on Wednesdays, weekends and Bank Holidays.
- Roseville Gardens – our guests can spend as long as they like in our gardens at Roseville! Not as big as some, but just as enjoyable!
