Arrivals and departures
- Arrival – normal arrival time is 3pm – late.
- Departure – normal departure time is before midday.
If you want to arrive or depart outside of these times, we will do our best to fit in with what you want to do – for example, if you are going to a wedding and need time to change; or if you are a business guest, and want a late arrival or early departure. Just let us know when you book, and we’ll try to sort things out for you.
Parking
There is plenty of secure offroad covered parking (space for 4 vehicles). There are electrically-controlled gates (we can lend you a key if you intend to return late).
Transport
We are on a city bus route (route 35) and are about a 10-minute taxi ride from the city centre. We can arrange a taxi for you during your stay (please let us know in advance so that we can make bookings).
Taxis
Let us know when you make your booking if you need a taxi - we use a reliable local firm.
Pets
We're sorry, but we can't accept any pets. (Guide or assistance dogs are of course welcomed).
Resident Animals
We have a very friendly black Lab called Buster - although he comes in the house, he’s not allowed in the rooms that our guests use.
We also keep our own chickens and have 4 different types - Blackrock, Speckledy, Sussex, and Warrens. They earn their keep by providing eggs for us and for you, but they also make fascinating pets. They have their own large run in the garden, off to one side, so they’re not truly free range but can do their own thing!
